Mills Fleet Farm purchased the vacated Lowes building, and an additional 10 acres to construct a convenience store and car wash just off of Highway 95. Mills will expand the space to include an auto service center & outdoor merchandise area. This increases the buildings foot print to 107,500 square feet of retail space. Mills Fleet Farm has been serving the Upper Midwest since 1955 and has 32 locations across Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa and North Dakota, with its most recent store opening in Carver, MN. The store is expected to open next year.
Midcontinent Communications Midcontinent
Midcontinent is expanding their facility by an additional 3,969 sq ft to accommodate their expanded product line and technical/engineering growth over the recent years. Additional space is also needed for employee training. Midcontinent has consistently upgraded their cable, broadband and phone networks to increase speed, capacity and reliability that are demanded by both residential and business customers.
Aldi, Inc. Aldi Inc.
The Cambridge City Council approved a purchase agreement for Aldi Inc. to purchase a 2.2 acre site at the corner of Hwy. 95 and Balsam Street. Aldi plans to build a new 15,945 square foot building and plan to open in 2013.
